Dear MII Member,
Lobbyists from the Brick Industry of America reached out to MII regarding legislation currently taking place in Iowa that will affect the masonry industry. As a whole, we must fight to protect the industry and we hope you will tkae a minute to contactor your Senators.
SF 43 passed out of the Senate State and Local Government Committee along a party line vote with one Democratic member abstaining. Senators Quirmbach, Winckler and Weiner stated their opposition and concerns about the bill.
The bill is now eligible for the debate calendar and will likely go for a Senate Floor Vote next week, but it could be as early as the end of this week. The bill has been newly numbered as SF 174.
